SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE
Islamic Republic of Iran Alborz Integrated Land and Water Management Project Loan Number: 4782-IRN Procurement of C24, C25 Canals and MD2 Drainage System (IDM/W204)
The Islamic Republic of Iran has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Alborz Integrated Land and Water Management Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for construction of canals and drainage system and related structures. The Mazandaran Regional Water Company now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Procurement of C24, C25 Canals and MD2 Drainage System (IDM/W204). The construction period is 30 months.
Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents from the Mahab Ghods Consulting Engineers at Contracts Office, No. 17, Takharestan St., Vahid Dastgerdi Av., Tehran, 1918781185, Iran, email: inf@mahabghodss.com, Tel: +98 21 22221071~8, Fax: +98 21 222276487 during office hours 09:00- 16:00. The local bidders shall have a minimum grade of 1 in Water discipline according to the grade classification of Strategic Planning and Control.
A pre-bid-meeting will take place at below address on September 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.
A complete set of bidding documents in English (with a Farsi translation) may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to Mahab Ghods Consulting Engineers at Contracts Office, No. 17, Takharestan St., Vahid Dastgerdi Av., Tehran, 1918781185, Iran, and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 3 Million Rials to Current Account No. 12655 with Bank Mellat, Vahid Dastgerdi Branch, Tehran, Iran, in favor of Mahab Ghodss or USD 300 through Bank Saderat Iran, Nahid Branch, Tehran, Iran, Account No. 100385. The document will be sent by courier or can be collected.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 5,600 million Iranian Rials or USD 560,000, and be delivered to the address below by 10:00 a.m. on October 27, 2009. They will be opened at 11:00 a.m. on October 27, 2009, in the presence of bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend, at the address below. Late bids will be rejected.
